To help you kickstart your social media in 2021, PropertySimple will be hosting a 30 day social media challenge. Real estate agents across the country will be able to participate in posting awesome content to their social media channels, and get the chance to win free ad credit to promote your listings on Facebook & Instagram

How it works: Every Monday you'll receive an email with your weekly challenge. We'll share a proven social media strategy to either increase engagement, grow your social channels, or promote your business, and walk you through how to implement that strategy with your own post!  The best part? By participating you’ll be eligible to win $99 off one of our Pro Marketer plans or $99 dollars in Facebook & Instagram ad budget. All you have to enter is tag us (@propertysimple) so we can see your post!

Week 1: Engage Your Audience with Video Content

For those of you who are just getting started on your social media journey, we’re starting off easy. We want to prove to you that you don’t have to be a professional videographer to get high quality content that promotes your business and engages your audience. 

So week one’s post is to share an awesome piece of video content that we’ve already created for you, your video business card! For those of you who are already using PropertySimple, all you have to do is login to your account, download your video and share to social media (don’t forget to participate in the challenge by tagging @propertysimple!).

Haven’t created your video yet? Just sign up for a free trial to create, download, and post yours to your social media channels (it just takes a few minutes!)

Week 2: Build Trust as the Area Expert

As a real estate agent, you'll want to present yourself as your area's expert. Your network should look to you for recommendations for local events, restaurants, and businesses. You should stay up to date on what's going on in town and share with your network. Do this right, and you'll have your network consistently coming back to check your social channels for info about what's going on. The more info you share about your area the more reputable you'll be as an agent. 

That’s why week two’s challenge is to share your top 5 recommendations for local businesses in your area. Make sure to tag the business so that your followers can easily find their profile, and so that the business sees your shoutout (they might even share your post, getting your business in front of even more eyes!)

Week 3: Promote Your Business by Sharing Success

Bragging isn’t always a bad thing! In any industry, it’s important to showcase your accomplishments. For week three’s challenge, we’re giving you three options:

    1. Share a testimonial from or a photo of happy customers! Nothing promotes your business better than a heartfelt testimonial or a photo of past clients' smiling faces. This right here is social proof- and provides tangible evidence that you're an agent prospects can trust. Make sure to tag your clients so that they see the post and can share to their own social media channels!
    2. Announce company news: celebrate a recent achievement with your network!
    3. Post a throwback photo that shows how far you’ve come: whether it’s a photo from the day you passed your real estate exam, your first showing, or just a great memory at the office, #tbt posts are a great way to reflect on all the hard work you’ve put in to get you where you are today!


Week 4: Give Insight Into Your Day-to-Day Life as an Agent

For the grand finale of our social media challenge, we’re taking it up a notch.

We’re not quite sure how it happened, but the real estate industry has never been more popular. From hit reality series to celebrity agents with millions of followers on Instagram, Americans can’t get enough! Even if your typical day doesn’t quite look like the agents from Selling Sunset, your network will surely be curious to see an inside look at day-to-day real estate hustle. As an agent, you're most likely often on the move, so why not let your followers in on the journey?

Our challenge to you this week is to share a video (or series of videos) to social media that documents your day-to-day as a real estate agent. Whether that be posting Instagram stories of how you market properties, a live video of you showcasing one of your listings, or showing how you fit in time with your kids between appointments, we want to see it!

We love this example from LA real estate agent, Edward Hutchinson- he used an Insta 360 camera to film himself walking through a $49m property in Bel Air. This short clip got over 4K views!

Remember that when it comes down to it, consistency is key. That's why to participate in the challenge, you'll need to complete all four posts on either Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or all three channels.
